I like Smashburger the best of all the emerging more upscale fast food burger places that have been opening of late. It is reasonably priced and the burgers and fries are very good. My favorite is the mushroom truffle swiss burgers but the classic smashburger is also very good. I love the skinny fries tossed with rosemary. I have been to Smashburgers here and in Chicago and I will definitely be back.

So here we go again...another restaurant who refuses to cook your burger rare, medium rare or even medium...not allowed you MUST have medium well or well done only. That's more than half of your potential customers down the drain! If I wanted a well done burger with all the nutrients cooked out of it there is always McDonalds. I'm sure it will be less than a year before you close your doors unless you wake up and realize you are only catering to 2/5 of the population! Good luck with that chief!!

My girlfriend & I come from Nyc we have ate in all the SmashBurgers out there but now living in South Beach Miami we heard there is one in Fort Lauderdale that we just had to take the drive, easy to find & right away they greet you also said Bye to us & helpful employees I noticed...Now my Jalapeño Baja was amazing & as well as my girlfriend Classic Smash Burger, 5Stars to This SmashBurger, WISH THERE WAS ONE CLOSER

Very poor customer service! Everyone's had a poor ghetto attitude. No one said hi or welcome, thank you nothing. It was $10.89 for a bacon burger fries and a drink! I will not go back again!

Ft. Lauderdale... The chicken breast was very, very thin, about half the thickness of a nickel (I took a photo). The burgers were also slightly smaller than most competitors. The shakes were very runny, like cold chocolate milk with whipped cream on top. The fries were a bit thin too, in between those of McDonalds and Steak and Shakes. The high-lite was the black bean burger, it wasn't near as bad.

This was my first visit to Smashburger while I was in the Ft Laudy area. The look and feel of the restaurant reminded of me a Mr Moe's or Pei Wei, where you form a line against the wall and grab a menu to look at what you'd like. Very organized! The lady who took our order was very kind and polite. For the menu, all of the options seemed so good, I wanted to try them all! I ended up going for a create your own burger. They have a similar style like this in burger places in Miami. I'd have to say, the service was super fast. I ordered a milkshake and burger with onion rings while my fiancé had a burger as well and French fries. We received the milkshake within the minute! Then just a few minutes later at the blink of an eye, our food came out. I was astounded, I have never received such quick service!! The regular fries - WOW! Reminded me of Steak n Shake fries. Just as addicting and I couldn't stop munching. The onion rings had a nice batter to it, but it was pretty salty. The burger - not so wow. I was slightly disappointed in how tasteless it was, it wasn't seasoned at all. The condiments that came with the burger was basically the only flavors I got. In my opinion, I believe a burger should be able to stand alone in taste and flavor without a mountain of toppings. Ill have to try another burger next time.

Its super fast to call ahead and pick-up. The spinach and goat cheese burger was kind of a hiccup. The miami burger is "smokey and yummy." I found a 5$ coupon 'cause I'm no dummy. And when it comes to the shakes of marvel, My favorite is the salty carmel.

This is an average burger. I'd expect a little bit thicker burger for a large. (7oz) but I guess the smash is when they flatten it to resemble a McDonalds burger patty. I ordered it with the spicy chipotle sauce and pepper jack cheese for a little spice, it was ok, but a bit salty. I hate shoestring fries. Get some steak fries people!!!

This is my second visit. I am by far a burger lover. I may visit maybe 5-6 burger places in a year. This certainly one I don't mind going back to. Love the Spicy Baja Smash.

I like this place because the menu has so many options. There is also a dessert section that has milkshakes. I recently tried the Buffalo Fries with Franks hot sauce and they were good. Everything is made to order so you will always have fresh food. The staff here are also very personable and energetic.

It has been almost two years since I was last to a Smashburger Restaurant and the one I went to has closed. There are now at least a dozen more different burger franchises in the area and yet wanting to go for a good burger we couldn't think of one we wanted to go to and after a process of elimination because of easy parking we decided to go to this one. I ordered the Classic Big Smash ($5.99)--a cheeseburger--and wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked but as soon as I got it I knew it wouldn't have made a difference as it lived up to the name of being smashed. It was too thin to be cooked any way but well done. I prefer my burgers thick and medium rare. Do I need to add that it was way too flat to fit within the bun? I am known for 'cleaning my plate' but for the first time I can remember I left almost half of the sweet potato fries ($2.29) in the basket. In addition I had a fountain diet coke ($1.99) for my drink. By the way they had the worst muzak coming in over their speakers and when I said something to the employee they agreed! My check came to $10.89. The bottom line is that if I want a good burger the way I like it I have to go to a full service restaurant and expect to pay between $12-14 just for the burger. To end on a positive note the place was clean and bright. SLIDESHOW youtube.com/watch?v=j7Wh…

The food was amazing great taste of the burger, my husband and I we love it and the service was great she was really nice, and friendly. The shoes are amazing I try the strawberry shake and I love it but my favorite was the Oreo milkshake ohhhhhhh what amazing combination definitely I will come back to this place.

Decent burgers coupled with below average service and portions equals a three star review. I had hopes that this place would exceed the typical Five Guys/Burger Fi experience when it first opened. Unfortunately, that is not the case. While the burgers continue to be tasty, the person taking our order was not exactly friendly and as a consumer who is willing to shell out about $10 per person for fast food, I expect a bit more than less than enthusiastic service. If anything SB can learn a thing or two from their competitors, including better service and larger portions on the a la carte fries. $1.99 for the equivalent of a kids size portion of fries at MIckey D's just doesn't cut the mustard. If you want your Burger joint to stand out above the rest, the very first impression of the consumer should not be, "Is this all of it?" By the way, with regards to service...if the folks at SB had been as friendly as the guy bringing over the food and cleaning tables, service would not be an issue as he was terrific. May consider a return visit, but at this point cannot recommend.

This is base on takeout. We ordered two burger, sweet potato fries and fried pickles. Let me start with the fried pickles. They were REALLY good albeit a bit salty when dipped in the ranch dressing (as they got colder they weren't as good, the batter started to clump up). Sweet potato fries were pretty good, almost great. The burgers were top notch. I had a cheese burger with avocado and that thing was absolutely delicious. I like burgers that aren't perfectly round, they look like a burger you would make on your own grill. I'm not a fan of fast food, not a fan of five guys so this is going to be a new burger staple in my life!

My first experience at Smashburger was at another location, which, to put it bluntly, was not good. Then we came here for an event and it was like a whole different chain! So, were they just putting their best foot forward to impress us for the one night, or were they like that all the time? It was time to find out. There was plenty of close parking, which is always a good way to start. The restaurant was clean and bright. The staff was cheery and patient as we stood around trying to make our final decisions. It was surprisingly empty for the day after Christmas, probably because it's a bit out of the way of the heavy shopping traffic. By the time we were ready to leave, it was much busier. I had checked out my event review to see what I had liked best, so I would know what to order, but I took a good look at the menu, anyway. I finally ordered one of the two things that I had enjoyed most on our previous visit - the mushroom swiss truffle burger, with a side of sweet potato fries. I got the regular 1/3 lb. size instead of upgrading to the 1/2 lb. We waited only about 5 min. for our food, which seemed surprisingly fast. I was afraid the burgers were not going to be fresh. Geez....was I wrong!! These burgers were HOT, really juicy and very flavorful. The burger needed some salt, but outside of that, it was terrific. Then there were the fries. My sweet potato fries were perfect, hot, crispy and flavorful, with just the right amount of salt. It's surprising how long a fry can hold on to heat, especially when you just want to chomp them down, LOL. My husband had ordered the spicy buffalo fries. I'm not a huge fan of buffalo flavors, but I'm up for trying new things. These were really good! He thought they needed a bit more spice, but they had just enough heat for me. For hamburgers these days, the prices were reasonable, about $6 for the 1/3 lb. sandwich. The staff was very friendly and efficient. So, if you're looking for a yummy burger at a reasonable price, this is a great little place to go. Be sure to tell them that Yelp sent you!

I'm a fan of Smashburger, I think their menu has some unique options and the food tastes great. I'm bringing this location a 3 star review however because of cleanliness. I'm not one to usually notice dirty floors etc, but when I have to wipe food off of my chair before I sit down, the floor is littered with trash and the bathroom is also filthy it tends to put me in a bad mood. Keep in mind the restaurant was pretty empty when I was there and the staff was attempting to pick up some of the bigger items, but on dark floors you really need to be sweeping frequently. Back to the food. On this particular visit we had the goat cheese salad with chicken and the goat cheese salad on a burger. No complaints on food, or size of food for the price. I'll definitely be back, but hopefully the restaurant will be a tad cleaner.

My daughter and I went back for lunch. I had the new blue cheese burger and fries. She had a cheese burger, fries and a chocolate Oreo Shake. She couldn't finish her meal because it was too salty. Me burger was good and I love their skinny fries. The place is clean and not crowded during mid afternoon.

Smashburgers newest establishment and great addition to the area since it's lacking in good burger joints. The staff here is really friendly, greeting every customer as they walk in and also checking with customers at the table to make sure everything is good. For every area, Smashburger does something special and creates a burger that goes with the regions specific flavors, thus The REGIONAL BURGER a.k.a MIAMI BURGER. The Miami burger - grilled Spanish chorizo, frita potatoes, aged Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, chipotle mayo on a Cuban roll - didn't do much for me since I'm not a fan of Cuban sandwiches. If anything I liked the crisp that came out of the frita potatoes, but I wouldn't go out of my way to Smashburger for a wannabe Cuban sammieburger. The CLASSIC SMASH - this burger has the classic burger taste. The thing I liked about this burger was that the vegetables were crisp and fresh. Not much a fan of the cheese because it taste the same as shake shacks or kraft singles, bleh. Egg bun is sometimes a hit or miss but wasn't bad for this particular burger. BBQ, BACON & CHEDDAR BURGER - otherwise described as, "the man burger" and why not, this burger was meaty and cheesy. Pour on some BBQ sauce and crispy fried haystack onions to add some crisp, surely one of my favorites. TRUFFLE MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER - when it comes to truffle some places abuse it to no end. So this burger really surprised me as being really good. The combination of all the ingredients fit perfectly and clearly is my favorite burger here. AVOCADO RANCH BLACK BEAN BURGER - this style of patty is new to me since I have never had a black bean patty. The texture was a bit chalky but good I guess if was vegetarian, thankfully I'm not. SPINACH, CUCUMBER, & GOAT CHEESE - this one is really fresh and crisp, I liked this burger a lot better as far as healthy options go but maybe because I'm a sucker for goat cheese. AVOCADO CLUB CHICKEN - this burger has all the flavors you would expect from a club. I could see myself ordering this if I didn't want a traditional burger. If your feeling adventurous and want to try something different I turn to one of the Secret Menu items: The SIN CITY Burger a.k.a The LAS VEGAS Burger - this one reminds me of the BBQ cheddar burger except with a fried egg on top. I really like this one and highly recommend it. The shakes are made with Häagen Dazs ice cream which already screams good. I have tried the Oreo and Salted Caramel both were creamy and addictive. Can't wait to try the nutter butter and peanut butter & jelly flavors.

Another burger joint we try to hit every weekend. The food has always been very good. Especially the Truffle Mushroom Swiss burger. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! And those Smash fries are sooo tasty! Get there around noon to beat the crowd. Another thing i like is their soda machine. Not the fancy one that offers 1000 types of soda, only to taste like a mix of whatever. this is old school.

I was hoping after CG Burgers left, Smash would be smashing the best. It was just ok. I hate those skinny toothpick fries. The service at the counter was good tho. Doubt I'll go back.

Smashburger was fine to good, but I'm not rushing to go back with other local burger options available. I had the truffle mushroom swiss burger. The truffle mayo was really flavorful and added a lot to the burger. I didn't love the bun to burger ratio and the bun was among my least favorite hamburger buns of all time. It was eggy but dry, which I didn't know was possible. My husband had the spicy jalapeno baja burger and said he really enjoyed it. We tried the sweet potato fries (they were probably my favorite part of the meal) and the smashfries. The rosemary and salt were great but just way to much evoo on the smashfries to bear. Fries are already a little greasy by nature, dumping on the oil made them overwhelming. A standout for me was the good service. The guy taking orders was friendly and helpful and came by to check in after our burgers arrived. They were out of Coke Zero and immediately fixed the problem when mentioned.

SmashBurger on 3-15 federal highway just north of galleria mall - burger was similar to meat consistency of Jack Hamburgers - didn't like that it comes automatic w/ cheese -& the skinny steak & shake type fries - but overall all fresh & was ok to good - 6.5

The best way to describe SmashBurger is that it's McDonald's, but fancier and probably less synthetic. They "smash" balls of meat on a flat plate grill to cook the burgers, and they keep the grease in there. The grease taste is very reminiscent of McD. The bun is good, the meat tastes pretty good (but again, a little greasy), and the add-ons are fresh. The basic fries, because I wasn't brave enough for the Italian-themed ones, are the best taste-clone of a McD fry I've had. They are thinner and a little crispier than the golden sticks from the golden arches, but they taste about the same. Good? Yes. But disappointing if you expect "fancy" burger place fries like you get at Five Guys or Burger Fi. That's all I've had here - burger and fries. To be exact, I got a bacon burger twice. So to sum it up, this is a pretty good place, but IMO it ranks below Five Guys, Burger Fi, and honestly, Wendy's (on a good day). If you are craving a McDonald's burger, but you question the meat quality there, go to SmashBurger. It fills the same void.

Smashburgers are kinda that chain you see everywhere, but don't hear a lot about. Well I'm glad I got to know smashburger and what I have found is that the burgers and salads are a very reasonably priced fast casual meal. I like the variety of options on the menu. They have classic burgers, but also dress it up a bit with options like the truffle mushroom or add ons like a fried egg. Every burger is customize-able. Granted, this is not the best burger of my life, but it is still pretty darn good. Then there are the chicken sandwiches which are a nice healthier alternative if you're not feeling like a heavy burger patty. And the salads--these are a hefty portion for what you pay and soo worth it. The greens are fresh and not overdressed. For the sides, I would choose the sweet potato fries or the flash fried veggies (carrots and green beans). The veggies are a different, but still very delicious option! The service at the counter and bringing/taking away food, being newly trained, is always friendly and on top of things. If you're eating in, take the burger outside because their AC is blasting inside... or bring a sweater to bundle up lol.

Overall smash burger is a really cool place to come for lunch. Prices and portions are fair. Service is fast, efficient and polite. The place looks clean (even the restrooms). I don't give them a 5 star review because my Classic Big Smash burger was a bit messy and overstate rated with sauces. I would definitively come back to try something else.

A week ago on September 16th, we went there for the first time and ordered Classic Smash, Grilled Chicken Smash, and Sweet Potato Fires. We liked this place very much. So we went back yesterday, September 22nd. Chicken Sandwich was good. Classic Smash and Sweet Potato Fires were not. Burger had ketchup and mustard on it this time and there was no classic sauce. It may have been the same if I went to McDonald's. Fountain drink area stank really bad. Ladies bathroom didn't look like was cleaned in a while. The young lady who took our order was friendly, pleasant and cute. When there were no customers in line, she came out to the dining area to clean tables and asked each customers if everything was OK. She is too good for this place.

3 Star Rating = Food Review is 4 Stars but Service is 2 Stars. Went on a Saturday around Noon and waited 30 minutes for the order...seemed understaffed and the manager was not on top of their game... Blackbean burger is awesome and Truffle Swiss and Mushroom Burger is fantastic.

Another one in the line of Shake Shack/Burger Fi burger joints. Service needs improvements, burger was decent. I'd still take a ShakeShack burger any day of the week. Not bad for a quick bite but nothing to write home about.

It was my first visit to a Smashburger. I had a regular burger and fries. I figured I'd start with their basics. It cost just shy of $8. The restaurant was nice. The staff seemed nice. The burger was blah. I could taste the fresh vegetables and bun, but have no clue what the meat tasted like. I know it was there bc I could see it, but I couldn't taste it even when I broke off a piece and put it in my mouth. The fries were skinny like at Steak n Shake but were also blah. They were Ok but not exciting. Overall it was Ok but didn't compare in flavor to 5 Guys Burgers. I'm not sure if I'll return. I sorta feel that McDs bistro is its competitor and I was hoping for more.

I went to their N Federal Highway location in Fort Lauderdale Thursday evening. The burgers are merely average and I actually think Wendy's is better! I don't have much more to add to the other mediocre reviews. Skip the onion straws!! They are extreme greasy!!

I was excited to see smash burger in ft lauderdale. My friend and I decided to come here for lunch on Tuesday. From outside I thought the place was closed because it look so dark inside. We were going to pei Wei instead but my friend said it is open because he sees people inside. We walked in, the place was dead. There were no one at the counter and only one table with two guys eating. The smash burger in Atlanta is always busy during lunch hours. We waited in the counter for someone to take our orders. After several minutes of standing in front of the counter, a guy (who seems to be a manager) changing light bulbs around the store calls someone to take our order. The lady finally came over and took our order. I ordered original smash with smash fries. My friend ordered same with sweet potato fries. The burger is a burger, little blend from the smash in Atlanta. I don't know if they salt the meat while cooking or not. It's little better than 5 guys but 5 guys have much better choice of free toppings. This place only has basic free toppings. I think burgerFi is much better than this smash burger location in my opinion. It's a good place to come during lunch with friends and stay as long as u want because the place is empty and u are not obligated to vacate the table like other busy restaurants.

I give this place five stars because it stays true to what it was meant to be, a bad ass burger place! I love the food, the service, the fact that they have Fat Tire (a total fave) and the rad playlist that is truly essential to give it that hip and fun feel. Will definitely be returning and checking out the one back in Miami! Great for kids too, the boys loved the chicken strips.

Good burger but I think it is a little over priced. $11 for burger, fries and small soda. Could have got the same thing at a nicer place. Not a fan of the fries. Very thin shoestring style.

Went to Smashburger this evening for the first time. We ordered and then sat down and from there it was all downhill. One part of the order was brought out in about 5 minutes the other sandwich came out 5 minutes later missing the sweet potato fries. About 5 minutes later the salad came out and then 5 minutes later the vegetables came out. Had to ask 3 times for salad dressing and I swear that I have thicker sheets than the meat patty and chicken they served on the sandwiches not to mention how dirty this "new" restaurant is. Bad service, mediocre food, high prices, small portions and a dirty restaurant are too many turn off's to try again. I will say the small salad was fresh if not tardy and undressed.

Decent burger but not a big fan of shoestring fries. I wanted the place to be better. My favs in ft Lauderdale are still five guys and Shula burger. Very friendly staff.
